Whitney Young lived in a house on a campus that his father taught at. He lived there till he was 15. When Whitney was young he spent much time working for the end of unemployment discrimination. Whitney was a very upstanding person.

Whitney Young impacted the Civil Rights Movement in a couple way. to start with he worked for the end of work discrimination. Young also worked in a church where he talked about discrimination openly. Young was Very dedicated to working with the people. Although in many opinions, Whitney is a great person and worked hard for his cumunity. Some thought he was to willling to conform to what the whites wanted.

I would rate this a 8 because although he might have not do somthing that everyone remembers, he still worked for his comunity. He made a difference no matter how big or small he made a difference. It was an important cause and he stood for what he belived in. He was important to the people who remembered him
